MERITA
MERITA - where chamber Music, cultural heritage and TAlent meet
Merita is an European project with the aim of increasing the visibility and concert activity of 54 young European string quartets and piano trios. Through this four-year project, the ensembles receive training in marketing and economics, and a total of 19 organizations in 15 countries are ready to welcome them for between 150 and 200 concerts.
One of the goals is to reach new audiences through innovative programs and venues.
Many of the concerts will take place in protected, historic buildings.
The project is mainly financed by EU funds, and is run by the Italian organization Le Dimore del Quartetto in Milan. The project started in October 2025 and will end in August 2029.
