PROGRAM HISTORY

After the establishment of the Lofoten International Chamber Music Festival in 2004, the festival eventually has a rich program history to show for it.

So far, the festival's program history consists of over 400 events. All six municipalities in Lofoten have been included, after which all the churches have been in use. In addition, the Lofoten Cultural Center and the Meiriet Cultural Center have eventually become permanent venues. Several smaller events have been held in various galleries, restaurants and cafes. Last - but not least - the festival has held several outdoor events.

Since 2004, over 300 artists from home and abroad have participated. In addition, several orchestras such as the Kringkastingsorkesteret, the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra and the Oslo Camerata have participated. Together they have performed over 1,100 musical works.

The program is the festival's core product. Every year, new programs are developed that attract audiences from all over the world. The program history is the best reference to what the festival has achieved and is important documentation for what the festival stands for.
